Weather differences

East and West coasts have VERY different weather patterns. In case you are moving to New York you should be aware of cold winters and hot summers. Basically, on the East Coast, winters are cold and snowy, summers are hot and humid. But, for example, in California winter just means some clouds and rain.

Food differences

When we are talking about the food, you should know that California wins for best Mexican! But, on the East Coast, in New York, you can taste the best Italian food you’ve ever tasted (because of the neighborhood Little Italy).

Beautiful views on both sides of the USA

When it comes to views, both coasts are great to catch up the most spectacular views. The only difference is a beautiful sunset on a West Coast. So, if you are planning a move to California or moving interstate to Nevada you can watch beautiful sunsets on the beach which is definitely something you can’t do in New York. But, NYC has a spectacular skyline that many states and cities on the West Coast doesn’t have. Just image the view from the top of the Empire State Building.

People differences

As you know, New Yorkers are always in a rush on the crowded city streets. If you want to live in New York you should walk, work, eat faster. But, if you are planning a long distance move to Nevada, you can expect people who have more time for a casual conversation with a neighbor and they smile to every newcomer and stranger. The same situation is in California. So, if you want slow and calm lifestyle you should definitely move to the West Coast, even East Coast has states and cities slower than NYC.

Entertainment on the East and West Coast

For someone, states on the West Coast can get boring, especially if you are comparing them with “City that Never Sleeps.” In New York, you see and do something every day.
